Monday MomTrepreneur: We're All Just a Bit Judgy, Aren't We?
People judge other people. Some more than others, but it's human nature. People judge. We look at a situation and form an opinion with our own thought processes and assumptions.
As a mom it's really hard. There are so many times when we feel misunderstood or misjudged. I don't need to list the types, you know what it's like... Even grabbing the mail a month after having a baby and you look...well, like you just had a baby. Or your kids didn't sleep all night because (well who cares because...), so they are crying all through the grocery store.
I remember as a single girl, seeing a 3 year-old kid hit his mom and she just sat there talking and didn't even move. She totally ignored it. I was horrified and knew that would NEVER happen to me. Or I've had older people come and tell me their kids were always in bed by 6pm and woke up at 7am all through their childhood years, never giving them trouble. These are some of the judgements people make when they see moms. Most of the time, they have no idea what it's like to be a mom, or they were a mom and only remember the happy fun times or that everything was perfect and easy...
I like to keep those 2 ideas in mind...with everything:
1) People make judgements because they just don't know what it's like,
2) or aren't being honest about the situation.
Here are some funny photos! I know it will cause some judgements, but how many times have your kids grabbed something that they shouldn't!!!??? (And yes, maybe we'll have to put a chocking hazard next to "keep away from ALL children").
And this one in big, cuz it's just too cute!
